Consideration of dental treatment costs by means of private and public treatment organizations and fieldwork towards this

There is no existing national health policy of preventive dentistry in the field of dental health. The legislations are also inadequate.There is no consensus of opininons on pricing between The Turkish Dentistry Union and Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Social Security and even between the two ministries. There is no functional commissions either. The Turkish Dentistry Union is not able to apply any sanctions against concerned ministries.The adequate datas about per capita cost of dental treatments could not be gathered. By means of general costs of health, one could say that the chaos and imbalance because lack of plans are still going on.The reason for the public could not be treated by private health organizations is reflected as diversity of opininons of organizations on minimum prices.It is signposted by statistically that the national treatment needs could not be met by only active doctors working publicly.By means of national interests, it must be reviewed that of continuing dental treatments without any control mechanisms within the framework of regulation of extra payments to personel with incomes of circulating capital and also directing the staff to implementations of preventive dentistry. In our survey, a field work is implemented from this view of point.
