Abstract (EN)
Biotechnology finds several industrial utilization areas. In pulp industry, white rot fungi are in use to degrade lignin from the cell wall components prior to biopulping. In paper industry, biotechnology is currently in use to produce mechanical pulps (biomechanical pulping) while saving a significant amount of energy.In this study several ash plantations were used as a raw materaial which had several spacing factors. Samples were taken from 4 different areas and also 1 sample was taken from natural media (1. area (4x4m), 2. area (3x2m), 3. area (3.75x3.75m), 4. area (3x2.5m). In this study, the effects of spacing on density, hardness and chemical properties of wood were observed. Also, spacing effects on the resistance of wood to fungal treatment and paper properties were determined.Key words: Biopulping, Kraft, Spacing.
