Abstract (EN)
Titanium and its alloys are used in many field such as biomedical and dental, because of excellent corrosion resistance and good biocompatibility. They owe their excellent corrosion resistance and biocompatibility to passive oxide film formation at room temperature. Various methods have been used to improve the properties of passive titanium oxide films. In this project two different methods, anodic oxidation and thermal oxidation were combined and produced passive oxide film. Characterization of modified surface layers was made by means of microscopic examinations (SEM and EDS), hardness measurements and X-ray diffraction analysis.
