Abstract (EN)
In this study, a description and classification of the gear mechanism is given. After that, basicgear geometry is introduced by examining general terms and equations about them.The purpose of this project is to analyze stress of gears which are used for transfering power.Stress formulas are given for classical hand calculations. And they used in example. Stressanalyses are done in MSC Nastran, MSC visual Nastran of CAD packages and the analysesare done by help of finite element method.Especially, in the stress analyses which are needed to be calculated quickly, calculationswhich are needed to be several times, the benefits of the method is undisputable. Classicalhand calculations and analyses done by MSC Partran, MSC Nastran and MSC. Visual Nastranare observed as comparison of results.Key Words; gears, stress analyses, Geartrax, MSC Partran, MSC Nastran, MSC visualNastran, Solidworks.
