Abstract (EN)
Purpose: This study sought to analyze the reproductive outcomes for patients who underwent hysteroscopic metroplasty due to a dysmorphic uterus, and determine how recurrent pregnancy loss, primary infertility and uterus shape affected these outcomes. Materials and Methods: This retrospective study included 107 patients identified through electronic records scanned at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine Gynecology Clinic between January 2017 and May 2022, according to exclusion criteria. Data collection was completed, with 10 patients excluded from the study and 97 determined using ESHRE/ESGE classification system and CUME criteria. Review of clinical characteristics, HSG images, and medical records was done retrospectively using electronic records. All patients were contacted by phone to confirm information and obtain any missing data. Clinical pregnancy, live birth, ongoing pregnancy, abortion and biochemical pregnancy history were questioned after hysterescopic metroplasty. In addition, the post-operative pregnancy times of all patients were noted. The patients were grouped as primary infertility and RPL, and all parameters were compared between both groups. In addition, dysmorphic uterus was divided into two groups as T and Y shaped, and the same parameters were compared between these groups. Result(s): The clinical pregnancy rate was 59.8%, the live birth rate was 29.9%, the ongoing pregnancy rate was 15.5% and for all pregnancy live birth ratio was 50%; abortions occurred in 21.9% of pregnancies. There was no significant difference in pregnancy outcomes between patients with T-shaped or Y-shaped uteri and those with primary infertility or TGK; however it was concluded that those with RPL reached live births and clinical pregnancy earlier than those without.
