Abstract (EN)
Condemnation, which means swearing, censure, blame, and condemnation, has been mentioned by many poets in Divan poetry. In this study, 20 divans selected from the 15th and 16th centuries were scanned; words corresponding to the concept of condemnation in the scanned divans were determined. Based on the obtained couplets, the ways in which divan poets handled the concept of condemnation, the types and elements associated with this concept, and the established phrases were examined. Thus, it was tried to reveal how the subject of condemnation, which has not been studied in detail before, took place in Divan poetry. Condemnation has taken place in many poets' couplets as a devotion to the suffering endured in order to reach the beloved and the pain, suffering and despair that this love brings. It has been determined that condemnation and desecration, which are essentially social criticism, focus on the lover but are also addressed through other types, individuals and natural elements. Although the condemnation of the lover is very common in Divan poetry, it has been observed that the lover sometimes condemns the society, the beloved, the ascetic, nature and natural elements. Among the subjects examined in this thesis are the states of love that cause the lover to be condemned. "Crying a lot, wandering around intoxicated and drunk, abandoning shame and honor, violent sighs, bloody tears, yellow complexion and disgrace" are the main ones. In this thesis, elements such as "fire, square, drum, sea, cardigan, assembly, property, arrow, street, stone, wound and chain" associated with condemnation have also been identified.
