Abstract (EN)
The reason for this dissertation is neither to analyse the history of dialogue, nor to argue abstract concepts like intercultural dialogue or dialogue between spaces and subjects. To keep it short, to the point, and practical, things to be analysed are what is meant by 'dialogue', how dialogue is formed in where we live, what kind of a process it is as an act producing space, and the spatiality/spatial characters created by 'conversation'as a form of dialogue related to daily life. This dissertation does not search for an answer to these opposed questions only theoretically, but also via personal spatial observations and experiences. Spatial practices produced by dialogue in everyday life has been put forward through observations and analysis of Corlulu Ali Pasa Madrasah, qualified as a 'conversation space'. Acts producing space and their process are studied via photographs, sketches, diagrams, mappings and scene studies. Thus, it aims to discover how and to what extend an everyday practice like conversation produce a living dialogue space and related social formations. The production of space is not only interpreted theoretically with an academic perspective, but examinations are also made on how dialogue works as a spatial practice by personally attending spatial production process at Corlulu Ali Pasa Madrasah. These studies aim to expose the spatial practices hidden among the reality of everyday life, but simultaneously, for being personal studies, they do not allow an understanding general enough to describe theoretically strong developments.
