Abstract (EN)

Qur'anic sciences are among the first sciences to be organized in Islamic sciences. First of all, the writing of the Qur'an in accordance with the orthography specific to the text of the Qur'an, the reading of the Qur'an, and the knowledge of the performance and quality of its qiraats come first. In this context, the works related to the science of qiraat and tajweed, which started in the first centuries of Hijri, were written by great scholars and experts in their fields and presented to the service of humanity. In this way, the places where the Islamic literature formed over time are available are mostly libraries. In Turkey, which has a very rich source of libraries with manuscript collections, one of the libraries with an important collection of manuscripts is the Library of the Presidency of Religious Affairs. Namely, there are 7.200 bound manuscripts in the library. This number is around 19.500 with the copies in Mecmua. In this study, 62 works related to the science of qiraat and tajwid in the library of D.İ.B and their authors were discussed and evaluated. In addition to the famous works in the library, it is aimed to shed light on this rich literature and accumulation, which is encountered with examples such as having a copy of the work written in Ottoman Turkish in other libraries, which does not have a copy in other libraries, which has no known edition that has not come to light, and a copy written in Arabic in other libraries, and to shed light on the path of competent scholars and scientists who strive in this field. In this thesis, 27 works related to the science of qiraat and 35 works related to tajweed in the library were analyzed. The study consists of an introduction, three main chapters (qiraat, tajwid, commentary and glosses) and a conclusion. The first chapter is the introduction and consists of the subject of the thesis, its purpose, the path followed in the study, and the introduction of the library and manuscript collection. The second chapter is categorized as works with known and unknown authors, works in verse and prose, works on seven to ten qiraat, and individual qiraat manuscripts related to the science of Qiraat. In the third section, the works on the science of tajwid are divided into prose and verse works, works written in Arabic and Ottoman Turkish, as in the second section. In the fourth section, under the main heading of commentaries and glosses, manuscripts were examined by categorizing them as the subheadings of the science of qiraat and tajwid. It has been seen in this study that one of the biggest problems in the field of manuscripts is the problem of identifying, classifying, introducing the correct content and delivering the works to the readers. As important as the catalog work is, it has been seen that protecting the physical structures of the works is of particular importance in terms of transferring cultural heritage to the future. The conclusion of the study ends by presenting the general evaluation, problems encountered and suggestions. Keywords: Qira'at, Tajwid, Diyanet, Library, Manuscript.
