Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out material to grown select and characterize the fig genotypes in Diyarbakır during 2006 and 2007. According to the weighteddegreces method, 42 fig types taken the highest scores were selected. The phonological, morphological and pomological characteristics of them were investigated. In all of these types, 21-05-045 Zapi9 and 21-06-058 Zapi17 types have been found significant according to fruit shape, fruit neck length, fruit weight, fruit skin cracks and fruit peel. In this research, the cuttings of selected fig types were taken and rooted and preserved in South East Anatolia Agricultural Research Institute.These types will also propogated and planted in Erbeyli Fig Research Institute. South East Anatolia is one of the genetic origin of figs, so with this research the germplasm of Diyarbakır province, towns and villages were determined and concerved. These elite plant material will be the resource of the future fig experiments.Key Words: Fig Selection, Genetic Resources, Diyarbakır Conditions
