Özet (EN)

This Monography study which is based on Diyarbakir city center consists of two parts. In the first chapter, it attempts to examine the stages of birth, marriage, death and believes related to them, religious ceremonies and festivals, beliefs of the folk, folk cuisine and folk medicine, all of which are in the transition periods, and in the second chapter, there are compilations of anonymous folk literature.In the first chapter, after providing the information received from written sources, oral sources have been exploited and transferred. The changes in the traditions have also been analyzed in terms of a comparative study of the past and present.In the second chapter, anonymous works of folk literature such as verse, verse-prose and prose have been analyzed and information compiled from oral sources have been transferred and interpreted.The results of the study show that Diyarbakir city which shows the traces of the old belief system of Central Asia and Anatolia, have evolved into its current cultural form blending these traces with Islam after conversion.Key words: Diyarbakır, Monograph, Transition Periods, Beliefs, Anonymous Folk Literature.
