Abstract (EN)

Coins provide information about the social and political life of the period in which they were minted by means of inscriptions, stamps, etc. techniques. It provides information about the coin issuer and the lands under its sovereignty and the authority established on these lands (Karwiese, 1995). Based on this, within the scope of the proposed thesis, it is aimed to determine the chemical composition of the Amida Period coins in the Diyarbakır Museum by using archaeometric analysis methods. As a result of the analyses planned to be applied, it is aimed to determine the metal ratios used in the production of coins and to obtain information about the technology, economy and socio-cultural structure of the period in which these finds were produced.
