Key Words : Engine Mapping, Two-Stage Modelling, Calibration, ECU In this study, an engine mapping model, where the dataset used for constructing the engine mapping model was collected from Leopard1A1 Tank?s MTU, MB838 CaM 500 model diesel engine, is created by using two-stage modelling. The engine tests lasted approximately 5 months were realized in the Engine Test Rig in the 1st Main Maintanance Center Command in Arifiye / SAKARYA. These models which built in the Model Browser imported into the CAGE Browser part of the toolbox to produce optimized calibration tables for a planning electronical engine controller. The exhaust temperature, fuel consumption and exhaust emissions were modelled according to the spark angle, torque and engine speed. While the spark angle as the input of local model, the torque and engine speed are the inputs of global model are identified. The mathematical curves that were obtained from the two stage models trying different mathematical model types are fitted best to the real test values. At the end of the study, it is obtained that engine behaviour using two stage modelling as a function of the adjustable engine parameters method and realized the calibration look-up tables. As a result, it is determined that these two stage models which provides very good predictions gives logical values, results and look-up tables which are ready to upload to the ECU.
