Özet (EN)

In this research, the use of emulsified fuel technology was examined by examining different methods to reduce emission values for internal combustion engines with diesel cycle. Generally speaking, it has been proven that fuel mixtures at 1-2% surfactant and 5-30% other substance levels have effects on reducing emissions and improving engine performance. However, experiments have been limited to certain surfactant types. As a result of the experiments carried out by determining the fuel characteristics of fuel mixtures in different ratios bound separately with standard fuel and Tween80 (Polysorbate 80) and NP10 (Noniphenol ethoscyclate) surfactants in a standard diesel cycle, it was observed that NP10 type surfactant cannot be used as a binder due to its high viscosity. It was observed that the engine performance values of emulsified fuels decreased in power and torque values, and although there was a decrease in the SFC (specific fuel consuption) values at low and high speeds, they were higher than diesel fuel at approximately 1800-2700 rpm engine speeds. Based on diesel fuel, T15 fuel runs at 3000rpm; The 〖NO〗_x reduction rate is 14.7% compared to Bosch brand emission device and 34.56% compared to Bilsa brand emission device. In addition, O_2 and 〖CO〗_2 values increased thanks to the emulsified fuel composition.
