Abstract (EN)

Many disasters occur all over the world and the effects of these disasters vary from one another. When disasters are divided into groups, they are classified as natural disasters and unnatural disasters. The effect of each disaster on the world varies and people need to be prepared for disasters by taking different countermeasures against these disasters. Disasters whose occurrence cannot be prevented should be avoided with the least harm and necessary interventions should be performed in a timely and appropriate manner. While the search and rescue operations performed after an earthquake disaster differ, the studies carried out in the flood disaster and avalanche disaster also differ. Therefore, in the approaches to search and rescue operations to be performed according to the characteristics of the disasters that have occurred are examined. The statistics of the natural disasters experienced in our country were mentioned and the available data were evaluated. Disasters that affect human life the most and cause the greatest damage among the major natural disasters experienced in the world are examined.
