ANALYSIS OF THERMODYNAMIC STATE MAGNITUDE IN ACOMBUSTION CHAMBER BURNING NATURAL GAS(M.Sc. Thesis)Barış İŞYARLARGAZİ UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYJanuary 2007ABSTRACTCombustion chambers have constituted subject of many theoretical andexperimental studies so far. The objectives of this study may be listed as; toincrease combustion burning efficiency, to shorten flaming period, to preventdischarge of unwanted hazardous gas outputs of the burning process and toselect a small volume combustion room. The studies on combustion chambers have been generally conductedtheoretically due to problems encountered during experimental studies. In thisstudy, we have investigated magnitudes of thermodynamic state in thecombustion room using Fluent software. Therefore, considering variousparameters, the temperature, enthalpy and entropy values in the combustionchamber have been investigated as a result of the changing these parameters. The obtained results from this study have been compared with the previousworks and the parameters have been analyzed to determine their impacts oncombustion activity.Science Code : 708. 3.015Key Words : Natural gas, combustion, combustion chambersPage Number : 76Supervisor : Prof. Dr. Sümer ŞAHİN
