Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT In this study, adsorption of Cu (II) ions by Kula Volcanites that have alkali basalt from as a natural material have been investigated. In experiment, activated the Kula Volcanites at various temperatures were used. At firstly, Voicanit samples were maintained in distillated water. And then this samples were dried in an oven at 105 °C. Optimum conditions for Cu (İI) adsorption were determined by means of acticated samples at varius temperatures and fraction, a suitable pH valve has been determined for adsorption. In adsorption experiments, Batch and Colon methods have been applied. In the each experiment methods, firstly 0.005 M Cu (II) solution was prepared under laboratory conditions. And then samples, obtained from an industrial waste that contains 3 ppm pollution has been used. The analysis of adsorbed Cu (II) has been caried out using standart Cu (I) solution which prepare under laboratory circumutances Diamine complexes were prepared by ammonia. After drawing standard curves at a definite amount of volcanite solution, amount of unadsorbed Cu (II) were determined by using UV-Spectrophotometry. Curves of percent of adsorption were dramed. Amounts of Cu(ll) in samples obtained from industrial wastes were determined from AAS standart graphics as percent of adsorption. Adsorption capacity of volcanite clay that have alkali structure, were determined. Optimum temperature and particle size were determined for maximum adsorption. importance of utilization of Kula volcanites has been increased for cleaning purpose dueto its features such as high adsorption capacity, large abundance and easily availability. We suppose that utilization of Kula volcanites as cleaning reagent will be an advantage for industrial establishment.
