Interpretations of formations belonging to the natural heritage on the pictorial surface: The example of Peribacaları

In this study, the geological movements that exist in nature in the process that began with the formation of the universe, which have come to date, the fairy chimneys formed in the last one and the interpretations of tissues of similar surface shapes on pictorial surfaces were discussed. Human beings have been intertwined with nature throughout their lives, questioning it and trying to subjugate everything that exists in nature. This subjectivization led man to seek out the new, previously nonexistent, and as a result, creative thought came into play. A general introduction was made in the first part of the thesis. In the second section, the definition of Natural Heritage, its examples in Turkey and the world, and its cultural interactions are given. In the third section, the location, formation and types of fairy chimneys were included, in the fourth section, reflections of Natural Heritage on the art of painting, and in the fifth and final section, analyses were made by the researcher on applications. In this context, the results are stated in the results section. An abstract surface was used throughout these applications and fairy chimneys were placed. The image of the fairy chimneys, which exist throughout the application, has been treated with various interpretations, the surface of the canvas has been divided into various parts, providing diversity with such examples. Geological structures that began with the formation of the universe and existed in nature during the period up to now, research that acquired the tissues of these structures, were tried to be expressed in artistic language on surfaces based on observation and intellectual basis, and taking into account plastic anxiety. In this context, 19 oil paintings and 2 ceramic works were made.
