Abstract (EN)

The goal of this study is to increase fixation properties of plant ectracts and tannins which have antifungal, antibacterial and insecticide properties in wood. Beech (Fagus orientalis) and pine (Pinus slyvestris) wood samples and extractives extracted from Valex, pine bark (Pinus brutia) and sumac leaves were used. For increasing fixation properties Boric acid, Borax, Aliminium Sulphate, Copper Sulphate and egg albumine were utilized with different combinations. Wood samples were treated with the full-cell process . A leaching process for 14 days was used. The leached samples were introduced into petri dishes which have Gloeophyllum trabeum and Trametes versicolor fungi for 12 weeks. According to results addition of boric acid and borax at %1 an %3 concentration levels as fixator increased retention values. When %1 and %3 boric acid and borax were used as fixator, the retention values of plant extracts were slightly increased. When the leaching-related weight loss results considered, samples treated with mineral added Valex extract showed the minimum weight loss values for both species. According to micological test results, the samples treated with borate added extracts, which gave relatively low leaching rate, had lower weight losses when compared to the control samples.
