Abstract (EN)

When the statistics are examined, it is seen that there is not enough consciousness about occupational diseases caused by physical risk factors in the natural stone mining of our country. When reviewing the literature, it is seen that there is a lack of studies especially about vibration. In natural stone mining employees are exposed to vibrations at different times. As a result of occupational exposure to vibration, occupational diseases are seen in employees. In this study, the occupational exposure magnitudes of workers were measured. Evaluations were made according to the exposure actions and border values of our country and the European Directive. As a result of the evaluations, it has been determined that workers may get occupational diseases as a result of occupational exposure to vibration. The measured vibrations were evaluated according to the traffic lamp system and exposure scoring system and the measures to be taken by the employer were determined. In addition, the relationship between vibration measurements taken from different natural stone quarries and the physico-mechanical properties of samples taken from quarries were investigated. The samples from the quarries were subjected to a series of experiments and correlated to determine the relationship between the physico-mechanical properties revealed and the magnitude of vibration.
