Abstract (EN)
From 1980?s on, which were the years that globalization picked up speed, capital flows have been increasingly occuring day by day from developed countries to developing countries.Foreign direct investment is a type of capital flows and it happens when a firm, which operates in a country, establishes a new firm in a different country or it happens when that firm buys a domestic firm.Also Turkey, which is one of the developing countries,needs foreign direct investment in order to reduce its current account deficit and unemployment.Because every region of Turkey doesn?t have the same development level and has local understanding differences,higher amounts of foreign investment are prevented.The aim of this study is to make assumptions about benefiting from advantages and correcting the disadvantages of Eastern Black Sea Region and its important city ,Trabzon, using the factors that affects foreign direct investment entries to this region,which has not attracted enough investment.Key Words: Foreign Direct Investment, Globalization, Eastern Black Sea Region
