Abstract (EN)

Antennas are devices that are widely used today and communicate by emitting electromagnetic waves. It has become widespread in almost every field and has taken a place in a large area of life. There are antenna types used in many applications such as communication, radar or various measurements [1]. Besides all these; Now, antennas are also used in the medical field and take their place among medical devices. It has started to be used in the field of medical imaging to detect many cases such as tumor or damage on the tissue. Because antennas can operate in both input-output signal modes as transmitting and receiving units [2]. Although all of the antennas worked with this logic, their identities also differ according to their usage areas. Because antennas are divided according to their characteristics and categories. In this study, Horn antenna and Patch (Microstrip) antennas were used. These two antennas fall in different categories. While the horn antenna is in the directional antennas category; microstrip antennas are in the category of omnidirectional antennas. Both antennas are communicated together with their identities and the bone structure is placed between them. After the parameters were recorded in this way, fractures were created in the bone structure and the antennas were re-communicated by placing them between the antennas. The obtained parameters were re-recorded and their differences compared to the initial situation were determined. After making this distinction, it was decided which antenna will be used for this study. While carrying out these studies, the electromagnetic simulation program "CST Studio Suite" was used. This program is a finite integration based simulation program. The creation of the antennas was carried out on this program. The simulation of the created antennas was carried out and recorded on this program. As a result; Numerical results for both antennas are compared with each other. According to the results, the antenna suitable for the study was selected. In addition, this bone tissue placed between the antennae; It was determined that it changed the S11 parameter, the direction and gain of the antenna and accordingly the 3-dimensional radiation image.
