Abstract (EN)

As in the world, in Turkey also, populations have had to emigrate, leaving their living areas due to various reasons. From 1980 onwards, on intensive migration has been witnessed in the Eastern and Southeastern Regions, particularly on account of security concerns. To this end, the ministry of Interior Initiated in 1994 a resulation project referred to as ?Returning Home and Rehabilitation Project? (RHRP) for those voluntarily want to return their villages to be accommodated in the neighbourhood oftheir earlier villages or somewhere suitable.This thesis explicates thoroughly the problems of the immigrants and the social effects of the migrations. the effects of migration in Turkey especially in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Regions, the process, aim, scope and principles of the Returning Home and Rehabilitation Project (RHRP) were explained.Key Words:1-Migration2-Forced Emigration3-The Population Obliged4-Return5-Returning Home and Rehabilitation Project
