Abstract (EN)
This study examines the bioecology of species belonging to the Sapanca Lake, Poyrazlar Lake, Taşkısığı Lake and Küçük Akgöl family of Ardeidae in Sakarya province in East Marmara Region between in the years 2013-2014. 7 of the 9 species belonging to the Ardeidae family in the study site were observed and it was determined that Egretta garzetta, Nycticorax nycticorax, Bulbulcus ibis and Ardeola ralloides used Poyrazlar Lake as a breeding area. 11 N. nycticorax nests were found in Sakarya Poyrazlar Lake and the number of eggs was found to be 2-5. In the study, the average number of eggs in nests of N. nycticorax was found to be 3,45, average incubation period was found to be 20,3 days, hatching success was found to be 84,21%, nesting success was found to be 88.64%, fledgling success was found to be 100% and breeding success is 84,21%. As a result of correlation analysis done, the correlation between the nest weight and the weight of the eggs (r=,99; p<,01), between the nest weight and the diameter of the eggs (r=,88; p<,01), between the nest weight and the diameter of the nest (r=-,15; p<,01), between the diameter of the nest and the weight of the eggs (r=-,13; p<,01), between the diameter of the nest and the diameter of the eggs (r=,16; p<,01), between the weight and the height of the eggs (r=,56; p<,01), the weight and the diameter of the eggs (r=,88; p<,01), between the height and the diameter of the eggs (r=,42; p<,01), the distance of the nests to the shore and the height of the nest from the water (r=-,63; p<,05) were found to be significant relationships. Distribution maps of the Ardeidae species were extracted, when the atlas distribution maps belonging to the family of Ardeidae were evaluated, the most abundant species with the highest abundance of observation (73,59%) was N. nycticorax. The frequency (F), dominance (B), similarity (Q) and diversity (D) values of Ardeidae species were found. According to the average percentage in the four lakes studied the most frequently found species is the (F) E. garzetta (60,20%), and the dominant species is the (B) E. garzetta (45,13%). The Ardeidae species composition of Sapanca Lake and Taşkısığı Lake is the same with each other (Q = 100%). In terms of Ardeidae species, the species with the highest diversity (D = 0,78) is the Küçük Akgöl Lake.
