Abstract (EN)
This study is based on a copy of Tezkire-i Seyyid Âfak Hâcem, which is situated in the Library of Lund University in Sweden. The text is based on a copy of work which was published in 1929. This text which is written in Eastern Turkish, consists of a total of 60 leaves. In this thesis, 22 leaves of the text are analysed. In this study, the life of Seyyid Âfak, who had an significant religious and political place during the Hodja Period, was discussed. In this study, information is given about the historical and political situation of the period and the period in which the text is written is shedded light. The text with Arabic letters was transferred into Latin letters as paying attention to the principles of transcription. Through this study, a new text has been gained to the literature on Eastern Turkish. With the index of the text, Turkish language and literature studies were contributed in terms of vocabulary and another source text was added to the literature.
