Abstract (EN)

Aim: The aim of this study is to perform the validity and reliability study of the Turkish version of the Childbirth Expectations and Childbirth Experiences Scale. Material and method: The study included 360 pregnant women applied to the for a birth to a hospital in Manisa, who had research criteria and agreed to participate in the study. The study conducted between April 12, 2016 and November 21, 2016. In the study questionnaire included women's sociondemographic characteristic, birth related question form, Childbirth Expectations and Childbirth Experiences scale were used. For the validity analysis of Childbirth Expectations and Childbirth Experiences, language validity and regression analysis for construct validty was used. Cronbach alpha coefficient and item correlation were used for internal consistency analysis. Result: Satisfaction status Cronbach alpha value of the Childbirth Expectations and Childbirth Experiences Scale-2 found as 0,891. 81,7% of the women who participated in the study were met and 32,1% of the expectations that they did not expected were met. Conclusion: Childbirth Expectations and Childbirth Experiences scale-2 is seen to be high Cronbach alpha value coefficient. The scale addapted to Turkish is valid and reliabled.
