Özet (EN)

4-CPA is one of the artificial auxines derived from phenoxy acetic acid behaving like indole acetic acid (IAA). It is especially commonly used in the production of tomato. Furthermore are leading to undesired effects due to residues left on the plants. There are various toxicity studies related to 4-CPA in the literature. Most of these have been focused on reproduction and endocrine system. In case 4-CPA is not used in convenient doses and at properly times, was expressed that leads to hepatocellular necrosis. Meanwhile there is a study showing that 4-CPA applied in the pre-puberty period is icreasing the peroxidation of lipids and inflammatory reactions in the tissue of liver without being depending to gender. In the light of these information in our study we aimed to analyze the oxidant and antioxidant events of liver at the rats exposed to 4-CPA from birth and until the puberty period. In our study 12 male, 12 female new born Wistar Albino race rats have been used. They have been separated in 4 groups.E20 (n=6): Male rats to which mothers 25mg/kg/day 4-CPA has been applied within the period of lactation (20 days) following the birthE50 (n=6): Male rats exposed to 25mg/kg/day 4-CPA from the birth until puberty period (50 days)D20 (n=6): Female rats to which mothers 25mg/kg/day 4-CPA has been applied within the period of lactation (20 days) following the birthD50 (n=6): Female rats exposed to 25mg/kg/day 4-CPA from the birth until puberty period (50 days)The female and male babies from D20 and E20 group have been taken this auxine during 20 days by means of milk of mother from their mothers within the lactation period. The subjects from D50 and E50 groups have been continued to be given with 25 mg/kg/day 4-CPA orally within the 30 days puberty period following the lactation period. 24 hours later following the last administration the subjects have been sacrificed with intramuscular (IM) (Rompun + Ketamine (50+60-100mg/kg) anesthesia. MDA level accepted as the indicator of lipid peroxidation from the tissue, has been measured with TBARS substance creation method, GSH which is the indicator of antioxidant capacity and thyol level spectophotometric method, and the NOx level which is the total of nitrite nitrate has been measured with Giress method. The results have been evaluated with Anova and Mann-Whitney U tests. P<0.05 values have been accepted as significant. In our study it has been determined that lipid peroxidation values both within the 20 days lactation period and 50 days puberty period of the male subjects exposed to 4-CPA are higher that female subjects. The higher values of thyol level in the lever tissue of female subjects have been commented as a finding consistent with lower MDA levels from these subjects. It has been seen that at the both genders the thyol levels from liver of the subjects within 20 days lactation period are significantly higher that the subjects exposed to 50 days administration.Difference has not been determined in the NOx levels of the subjects exposed for 20 and respectively 50 days to 4-CPA. However attention has been drawn by the values which were about the half level at the normal level. These findings give rise to thought that oxidant and antioxidant systems of lever of the babies nourished with mother milk to which 4-CPA has been administrated within the lactation period, are affected on highest degree when compared to those exposed as of puberty period.
