Abstract (EN)
The fact that cast iron has a broad range of mechanical attributes and its low cost of production makes it a preferable option in engineering materials. Iron casting, which comprises more than half of the world?s casting production, has been increasing in capacity as its popularity and production demand escalates. The increase in the production of cast iron and technologic development resulted in more demand for quality cast iron products. Therefore, thermal analysis process was developed for use of the manufacturers. This process allows producers to identify potential complications before the production stage and provides them with solutions to ease the production. Consequently, manufacturing defects and costs will decrease while efficiency increases. In this work assignment, cast irons? graphite forms and their cooling curves of various different mixtures are interpreted and parameters are observed. Moreover, related cooling curves besides present thermal analysis are illustrated in graphs and mathematically explained and results were compared
