Özet (EN)

Mattress ticking woven fabrics are produced by weaving, knitting or non-woven surface techniques. After the fabrics to be used as mattress ticking woven fabrics are produced, they are generally made of polyester, cotton, wool, etc. It is used by quilting with fiber and interlining. By applying the quilting process on the fabric, the filling material is combined with the bed face fabric. The quilting process can be done by creating various optional patterns or in the form of a connected straight line. Thanks to the filling material, weight and thickness increase. This situation increases the air permeability between the sponge and the bed cover fabric and balances the pressure distribution. In this study, the performance and thermal comfort properties of mattress ticking woven fabrics produced using different weft yarns, different weft yarn counts and different weft densities were investigated. For this purpose, in addition to the yarns obtained from cotton and viscose fibers, which are the most used in the production of mattresses, yarns obtained from bamboo fiber, which is one of the new generation fibers, were used. Viscose warp yarn was used in all of the experimental fabrics, and all fabrics were produced in the same warp density and broken twill weave. Abrasion and pilling resistance, breaking strength and elongation at break, air permeability, relative water vapor permeability and thermal comfort tests were applied to the experimental fabrics. The obtained data were evaluated statistically.
