Metal döküm sanayisi dünya çevresindeki endüstrileşmiş her ülkenin gelişmesinde önemli birrol oynamıştır. Metal dökümleri için harcanabilen köpük modellerin kullanımı 1958?de H.FShroyer tarafından geliştirilmiş ve patentlenmiştir. Köpük modellerin kullanımı ile dökümüretimi klasik döküm prosesleri ile imkansız olan önemli tasarım ve işlem esnekliği sunar.Dolu kalıba döküm prosesi alüminyum, bronz, dökme demir ve çelik dökümlerinin yapımındabaşarı ile uygulanmaktadır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Harcanabilen model dökümü , dolu kalıp , döküm , polistirenviiABSTRACTThe metalcasting industry has played a significiant role in the development of everyindustrialized country around the world. The use of expendable foam patterns for makingmetal castings was developed and patented by H. F. Shroyer in 1958. The use of foampatterns to produce castings offers significant desing and process flexibility not possible withconventional casting processes. The full mold casting process has been applied successfully inmaking aluminum, bronze cast iron and steel castings.Keywords: Expandable pattern casting, full mould , casting , polystyreneviii
