Abstract (EN)
There are some studies in the literature which tries to emphasize the importance of the socio cultural effects on the consumption of frozen foods. However all of these studies have been done on the households are in the various cities. The most important point of this study is the difference of the sampling in the practice stage. The research question of the study is; What is the point of view on the consumption of the frozen foods for the academicans who has a similar income and educational level. Starting from this question the study is discussed in two sections; In the first section the definition of the frozen food, specifications, development process, types, weak and strong aspects have been detailed under the headline of the frozen food concept, general specifications and its process. The frozen food preferences of the Akdeniz University academicians have been subjected to the study in the second section which has been prepared due to the research study.
