The effect of transformational leadership on organizational citizenship

Today providing support to the employees is an important factor for achieving the advantage of sustainable competition. Within this scope enabling the employees? to work more efficiently and productively became unavoidable requirement for the enterprises to get the success. Because of this reason the applications towards the enforcement of employees are assumed as the precondition for the creativeness and innovation. The transformative leadership behavior appeared at this point and determining how much contribution or deficiency this behavior will provide for the organizational citizenship is also getting more importance. The thesis study is intended to determine this aim.The conceptual framework of the study is produced through getting benefit from local and foreign scientists? books and essays. Fist of all Leadership, The Personal Characteristics of Leaders, Different Leadership Approaches, new approaches appeared at this point and different classifications appeared related with these new approaches were analyzed. Following these, the concept of organizational citizenship was discussed and definition, dimensions and basic concepts of organizational citizenship concept were tried to be explained. According to the datas from the research results, all of the employees have the feeling of organizational citizenship. Moreover, employees think that the quality of their leader to create crismas and vision is at low and moderate level, the ability of building self-confidence and sincere relations is at moderate level, but high at giving inspiration.Key Words: Transformational leadership, Organizational citizenship
