Abstract (EN)

Due to the fierce competition in today's workplace, businesses need leaders to improve their productivity, to exist in the market and to continue the strategies of success. Traditional competition instruments fall short after the changes experienced. Transformational leaders possess realistic and more desirable strategies for the future. Transformational leaders encourage their workers to meet the strategies and goals of the companies for the future. In this context, human factor becomes crucial. It emphasizes capital positive psychological capital, which is a subject of this study. For the workers, whose positive psychological capital has increased, motivation also increases and performance increases follow. This positively affects the total efficiency of the companies. This study is on the analysis of the relationship between positive psychological capital and transformational leadership. To this end, to analyze the existence and the degree of the aforementioned relations, a survey is conducted on various corporate workers within Istanbul city. Using the data gathered, reliability and validity tests are performed, in addition to factor analysis, regression and correlation analyses, comparative tests of the marginal effect of demographic differences (age, gender, education) on the relation between positive psychological capital and transformational leadership are performed. In conclusion, a statistically significant relation between transformational leadership and positive psychological capital is found.
