Abstract (EN)

M.Sc. Thesis INVESTIGATION OF WORKABILITY AND ENGINEERING PROPERTIES OF HYBRID FIBER REINFORCED SELF-COMPACTING CONCRETE PRODUCED USING BY QUATERNARY PORTLAND CEMENT BLENDS İzzeddin DÖNMEZ Inonu University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Civil Engineering 74+xii sayfa 2020 Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Kâzım TÜRK Hybrid fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete having superior mechanical properties and durability is included to high – performance concrete class. However, the fiber inclusion have affected the workability properties of self-compacting concrete (SCC) due to its complex fresh state properties. In this study, the effect of different type and combination of mineral admixtures on the properties of workability and engineering of SCC with hybrid fiber and no fiber were investigated. For this purpose, a total of nine SCC mixtures containing fly ash (FA), blast furnace slag (BFS) and limestone powder (LSP) as binary, ternary and quaternary blended system were prepared. A total of binder amount, water/cementitious materials ratio, the dosage of high-range water reducer admixture(HRWRA) and sand/total agregate ratio were constant in all mixtures to observe bluntly the effect of mineral admixture used different type and combination. For mechanical properties, the compressive, splitting tension and flexural strength tests were carried out all specimens while slump – flow, T500, J-ring and V-funnel tests were performed to determine the workability properties. Finally, it was found that the slump – flow and passing ability between bars of quaternary blended SCC with hybrid fiber was better than those of ternary blended SCC with hybrid fiber. On the other hand, the replacement of LSP by PC had worst effect on the flexural toughness of SCC specimens with/without hybrid fiber.
