Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between psychological skills and attention levels of athletes from four different combat sports disciplines (Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Taekwondo). A total of 85 athletes participated in the study, with 61.2% male and 38.8% female. Personal information form, d2 attention test, and athletes' psychological skill assessment scale were used as data collection tools. Independent Samples T Test was applied for pairwise comparisons, and One Way Anova test was used for three or more groups. Post Hoc tests of Tukey were conducted to determine which groups had significant differences. Additionally, Pearson Correlation analysis was applied to determine the relationship between participants' attention and psychological skill levels. In the light of the findings, significant differences were found between sports branches and gender. Significant differences were found between the remaining sub-dimensions of education level, athlete license, dominant hand, participant age, number of training days per week, and daily training hours. No significant difference was found between sport level. As a result, attention scores of muay thai branch were found to be higher than other branches compared to other branches.
