Abstract (EN)

Carnivorous plants, can be used as potted ornamental plants and have medicinal properties due to the presence of Plumbagin and Ramentaceon. These compounds are used in the treatment of ailments such as cough, sore throat, and asthma. This thesis aims to investigate the optimal micropropagation conditions for Dionaea muscipula, Drosera capensis, Drosera spatulata, and Drosera aliciae under in vitro conditions. Initially, surface sterilization trials were conducted on leaf and seed explants. The sterilization procedures applied to Dionaea muscipula and Drosera species revealed that leaf explants are highly sensitive to chemicals. For Drosera species, better results were obtained after treatment with 20% NaOCl. In the case of Dionaea species, the best results were achieved with seeds treated with 70% ethanol and 20% NaOCl. However, due to the insufficient number of explants, micropropagation trials were only established with Drosera species germinated from seeds. Various combinations and concentrations of BA (0, 0.5, 1, 2 mg/L) and NAA (0, 0.5 mg/L) were used in the trials. The best results in terms of plant height were obtained in the control medium, while the best results in terms of plant number varied among species. Following the micropropagation trials, plants from the two media that yielded the best results in terms of plant height and number were transferred to 1/2 MS nutrient media containing 0, 0.5, 1, and 2 mg/L NAA for rooting trials. The highest number of roots was observed in D. capensis plants transferred from the control to the control medium, in D. spatulata plants transferred from the control to the 2 mg/L NAA medium, and in D. aliciae plants transferred from the control to the 1 mg/L NAA medium.
