Abstract (EN)
Switched DC-DC converters are an electro-magnetic interference (EMI) sources due to high frequency switching. Furthermore the high frequency switching, standart high frequency core materials and power switching devices limit the converter output power. Thus, specially produced magnetic cores and a number of parallel connected switches are required to achieve high power levels. Consequently efficiency decreases, production cost ans size increase, and also a balanced thermal distribution cannot be achieved. In this study, firstly interleaved buck converter is simulated in Simulink environment then implemented with 16 bit dsPIC30F2020 microcontroller. Proposed interleaved buck converter can operate as a single converter or interleaved converter mode and shares the load current, and operates at low switching frequency levels according to step number and increase the switching frequency effect up to four times. the advantages of the proposed converter structure have been presented by comparing the simulated and experimental results with a traditional buck converter.
