Investigation with Ni3Al Coating of Dublex Stainless Stell Duplex microstructure of stainless steels generally contain equal proportions of ferrite and austenite. Than austenitic stainless steels, duplex stainless steels have high strength, but especially against local corrosion pitting, and stress corrosion cracking of austenitic a better resistance against possess. 19% in duplex stainless steel - the high rate of 28% chromium, 5% molybdenum and at lower rates compared to austenitic stainless steels, which are more durable thanks to the nickel content. The major limitation of duplex stainless steel at high temperatures and at very low temperatures is that fragile. Especially at 300 ° C and -50 °C under a short time even if you try, duplex steels are brittle and re-annealing the need arises. Most commonly known as duplex stainless steels, stainless steels 2205 class. Duplex stainless steels in Turkey and in the world, recently showing a large increase in the use of material. Duplex stainless steel, 304 and 316 stainless steels has similarities as well as the strength values (flow, shear and torsion) is quite a high level because sturdiness and lightness needed in many areas began to be used. Strength, flexibility and endurance in areas that frequently used steels, pump shafts, shaft boat in prop making, in particular hydroelectric power plants, food industry, chemical industry and machinery used in the production. Duplex stainless steels, austenitic stainless steels, besides being flexible enough to fairly high degree of mechanical strength and corrosion resistance has. Hence this causes the quality, light weight, robustness searched wherever it is recommended to use a stainless steel material. Thus, using the reaction heat to generate the compounds as well as combinations with the surface to be coated simultaneously with the coating method based on the provision constitutes SHS. In this study, the SHS method Duplex stainless steel, powder coated ni3al microstructure of the resulting material and production parameters microhardness values were investigated. During the coating, stainless steel type and effect of metallic powders to be used as a coating material is selected as variable parameters. In order to determine the mechanical properties of the coated material was applied to the samples microhardness tests. As a result of the work of the selected material with the SHS method the effect of the coating of stainless steel and metallic powders to be used as a coating material of variable parameters was conducted to determine the most appropriate one. In the first part of this study has provided an introduction to the subject. In the second part Duplex stainless steels and stainless steels were introduced. In the third section is information about the intermetallic compounds. In the fourth section is information about aluminum-based intermetallic compounds. In the fifth chapter of nickel aluminum intermetallic phase formation about the mechanism information is given. In the sixth chapter of Nickel Aluminate about reactive processing information is given. In the seventh chapter is information about the thermodynamics of nickel aluminide coatings. The eighth chapter experimental studies examining in detail the experimental results were analyzed. At the end of the ninth and final part of the study evaluated the overall results are obtained.
