Abstract (EN)
War is no longer fought only on physical fronts, but also in digital environments against invisible threats. This has profound effects on international security, economic stability and individual rights. In this study, the historical transformation of the concept of war and the phenomenon of cyber warfare emerging in the digital age are discussed in a multi-dimensional manner. In Chapter One, the conceptual foundations of war are discussed; concepts such as war, cyber warfare, hybrid wars, soft power, cybercrimes and cyberspace are discussed, and the scope of cybercrimes is revealed through international legal classifications. In Chapter Two, the historical development of warfare, types of cyber attacks, ways of protection against these attacks and cyber security systems are analyzed. Threats such as malware, ransomware, denial of service attacks are detailed and defense measures such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems are included. In the third section, the international effects of cyber warfare are evaluated through important examples of cyber attacks that have taken place around the world. In conclusion, cyber warfare, which is an inevitable security reality of today, forces states, organizations and individuals to develop new strategies against digital threats.
