The application of postal banking in the world and the position of PTTBANK as a postal bank

The decline in traditional postal services, increased competition among postal banks, and the rapid development of the digital communication system are pushing postal institutions to ascertain new growth sectors. In addition, in recent years, there has been a necessity of efficient financial institutions for the increased importance of combating financial exclusion, and augmenting financial access policies. Nowadays, postal banks conduct an active role to develop the tradition postal services and financial access policies. For this reason, the main purpose of this study is to examine the PTTBank's position in the World considering financial products and services. To obtain vibrant outcomes, this study investigates fifteen countries' postal banks' diversified financial products and services as well as uses content analysis method. After implementing the method, it found that successful postal banks have upgraded their business models, emphasized digital banking services, and offered different types of financial products and services for individual, commercial, and corporate customers. In addition, the study identifies less diversified financial products and services of PTTBank.
