Management transformation of peninal institutions in the world and in Turkey: A conceptual research

In this study, the historical development and structure of penal institutions have been researched in detail, and detailed information on the management process in penal institutions has been given. In this research, information about penal institutions has been given by conducting exhaustive literature research, and the management process has been discussed. In the process of this research, thesis studies, books, and articles in the literature dealing with penal institutions have been carefully analyzed, and a literature review has been conducted. At the same time, sources such as laws, by-laws and regulations related to prisons were also included in the thesis. Based on these sources, the types of crimes committed by convicts and detainees, penal execution systems, public order problems in prisons and the efforts of the services in the penal execution institution to improve and rehabilitate the inmates are discussed. The scope of this research is to reveal the information available in the literature about the historical background and structure of penal institutions and to give information about their management styles. This research is conceptual research and has been carried out by a comprehensive review of the existing sources in the literature. In addition, in order to reveal the details of the research, current laws, statutes and regulations were also utilized. Statistics of the information in the database were taken, and these data were given with the help of tables. In the view of the information obtained from the sources examined in the research and other laws, statutes and regulations, the findings were classified and the results of the thesis were obtained.
