Abstract (EN)

The task of higher education institutions, which are an important part of the contemporary education system, is to train individuals who are a part of the development of societies by keeping up with modern times, helping to ensure intercultural interaction, researching and producing knowledge. In this context, higher education institutions focusing on quality education need to make arrangements and innovations in their education programs at regular intervals in order to increase their development in parallel with the progress of time. For this purpose, the graphic design education programs of the universities in the United States, England, New Zealand and Turkey, which are the most preferred by foreign students, were examined in terms of structural, content and application features, compared under certain headings and suggestions were made under the guidance of experts. The data obtained in this study, which is a descriptive research, were analyzed by document analysis method. According to the findings, some differences were determined in the programs of universities selected from abroad and in Turkey. It can be concluded that, in addition to the reflection of cultural and economic differences in the education programs, modern tools and studio/workshop equipment affect the content of the education received. It is thought that this research will help people or institutions who want to provide graphic design education in foreign standards in Turkey or who want to do research on this subject.
