Özet (EN)

In this study, 3 different applications (air pump, air pump + air stone and ozone generator) which increases the O2 of the water have been used in floating systems and researched their effects on yield and quality of lettuce cvs Bohemia and Delight. The plants have been grown in Akdeniz University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture Research and Application Field. The research has been designed split plot trial pattern with three replicates.As a result of the research; when we provide O2 in the tank by air pump + air stone; this application has been showed quality parameters of plant width, root length best results concerning yield and quality of lettuce-salad than the others. According to the lettuce cvs, Bohemia type, except the number of leaf parameter, with plant height (60.72 cm, air pump + air stone application), plant width (33.72 cm, with air pump + air stone application), the weight of wet plant (225.554 g, with air pump + air stone application) and the weight of plants wet root (63.41 g, with ozone generator application) has more higher degrees than the Delight type in its parameters. In a colour parameter which gives green colour and in b colour parameter which gives yellow colour ,the best degrees in Bohemia type are observed with ozone generator ,air pump ,air pump + air stone applications (respectively).However, in Delight type it is observed with air engine,air pump + air stone, ozone generator (respectively).In L colour parameter which gives brightness,Bohemia type reaches its the most brightness degree with ozone generator ,air pump and air pump + air stone applications (respectively). However, in Delight type no noticable differences are observed.KEY WORDS: Lettuce, salad, air pump, air pump + air stone, ozone generator, floating system
