Abstract (EN)

Impulsive and obsessive-compulsive buying behaviors constitute the majority of purchasing behaviors in today's world. Impulse buying behavior refers to sudden, unplanned purchases made as a result of a strong and unexpected desire. Obsessive-compulsive buying behavior refers to persistent and repetitive buying behaviors that come to mind in response to negative emotional states. Obsessive-compulsive buying behavior refers to an uncontrolled, obsessive state. The aim of the study was to examine the effect of impulsive and obsessive-compulsive buying behaviors on post-purchase regret and repurchase behavior, and to investigate the effect of post-purchase regret on repurchase intention. Within the scope of the research, mixed research method was adopted, in-depth interviews, which are one of the qualitative research methods, were conducted and then data were collected with a survey form, which is one of the quantitative research methods. Explanatory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model were used in the research, respectively. SPSS 2.0 and LISREL 8.7 programs were used for analyses. As a result of the research, the effect of impulsive and obsessive-compulsive purchasing behaviors in clothing stores on repurchase intention was revealed. The effect of impulsive and obsessive-compulsive buying behaviors on post-purchase regret and the effect of post-purchase regret on repurchase intention have been revealed.
