Abstract (EN)

Although in many projects non of the experimentals were followed up their engagement for keep on the exercise, after the projects. The thought in many projects was; that ordering adults for training would gain them the behaviour for continuously training lifestyle. The aim of this study is to increase the physical activity level (in long term) and monitor the impact in case of continuously repeats by using Transtheoretical Model (TTM) providing continuously training with women adults between 40-65 with low bone mineral density. The content of this study was choosen of volunteer 40-65 aged womens (n=144) with low bone mineral density which were treated at Antalya Anatolian Hospital. The suitable 48 women (n=48); were divided randomly in two groups (experimental n=24 and control n=24).The experimental group were taken, for 12 weeks period, into 45-60 minutes/day training programs for 3 days a week and then were educated with TTM. The control group was taken, for 12 weeks period, into 45-60 minutes/day training programs for 3 days a week All of the training excersises within first 3 month were applied under supervision of physiotherapists and in the second 3 month period the experimentals were monitored if they are willing to continue their exercise habit and various changes at the parameters were followed up International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), MMT, QUALEFFO-41 and The Stages of Exercise Change Questionnaire (SECQ) were evaluated at the start in the 3rd month and in the 6th month (last test) for all of the experimentals. At the end of the Project, while the intermediate test results of the experimental group was on the positive direction (p<0.01) the test results of the control group showed negative direction (p<0.01). However at the IPAQ the experimental group showed improvement at the 2nd 3rd month (p<0.01), it was determined that the control group showed a progress duration (p>0.05). According to the results of MMT, in despite any progress could not be seen at the Control group (p>0.05), the experimental group did continuously improve themselve (p>0.01). The QUALEFFO-41 results showed that while the Experimental group continued it?s improvement at the 2nd 3 month period (p<0.01), the control did come to the beginning level(p>0.05). At the end of the Project; it could be determined that the group which has been passed through exercise and education protocol according to MMT method did continue their training habit and the parameters measured progressed positively. On the otherhand the results of the control group did not show the same change.
