Özet (EN)
In this study, synthesis of magnesium borates using hydrotermal - magnetic stirring method and hydrotermal - ultrasonic stirring method at low temperatures is aimed. In hydrotermal - magnetic stirring method, reactions held between 0°C - 70°C for 30, 60, 120 and 240 minutes. For this method with ultrasonic stirring studies, reactions held between 0°C - 50°C for 5, 10, 150 and 20 minutes. Synthesized products are characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Raman Spectroscopy and SEM instruments. From the results of the experiments, it is seen that Admontite [MgO(B2O3)3.7(H2O)], Mkallisterite [Mg2(B6O7(OH)6)2.9(H2O)] and Magnesium Boron Hydrate [MgB6O7(OH)6.3(H2O)] minerals are synthesized from both of the methods. FT-IR and Raman spectrums show the characteristic bands of the magnesium borate minerals. SEM pictures show that the nano scale minerals are also synthesized from the experiments.
