Abstract (EN)
Solar powered desalination systems have a high potential to meet the water demand with its environmental friendliness and low cost in the face of the decrease in water resources and increasing costs in the world. Solar powered desalination systems are one of the most suitable and accessible systems for making water that cannot be used. Many studies are carried out to improve desalination systems. In this context, in the first part of this study, it was studied without insulation and cooling system and promising results were obtained. At this stage of the solar desalination unit, the desalination system is thermally insulated and a cooling system is applied to the aperture glass to increase the amount of distillation. In the second part of the study, tests were carried out under different weather conditions for a characteristic continental climate. It has been observed that the total water productivity has increased up to 139% compared to the previous study (Cuce vd., 2020b).
