Optimization of temper parameters in float glass tempering

Abstract (EN)

Today, glass sector takes an important place. Especially the quality criterias of the glass which is used in production of white goods are pretty high. Also tempered process is really important for the glass of white goods. In this study, Optimisation method has been done for flatness which is seen as a quality problem in temper process. This study has been done for 4 mm flat glass. As a data analysis technic, general regression analysis and fuzzy logic based power injection has been used. In the results of study, the most effective input for flatness has been found parameters respectively as tempature, furnace rate and quench. Besides that, in the result of intermediate value testing, the results of the fuzzy logic based power injection and general regression analysis are proximate. The results ara consistent.
