Conflict management approaches of administrators and perceptions fo physical education teacher about conflict management at school in Düzce and Bolu

In this research; it is aimed to determine the conflict management style and the perceptions to conflict management styles of the physical education teacher in the case of administrators of elementary and secondary education institutions in Düzce and Bolu.In this study, survey technique as a tool of data and the conflict survey, developed by Ural (1997) as to the conflict management, were used.For the analyze of data, the statistical technique of percentage, frequency, t test, one way variance analysis and techniques were employed.As a result of analysis conducted, we come to the conclusion that when the administrators? conflict management styles were examined, they prefer the methods of problem solving, agreement, concession, avoiding and dominating more frequency. Considering the personal characteristics, it is established that there is a statistically meaningful difference in the variance of education age and service year, and that there is not a statistically meaningful difference in the variance of staff condition and administrative position at school.Moreover, the findings of analysis employed, we arrived at the conclusion that the perceptions of management styles of physical education teachers were researched, they prefer the methods of problem solving, agreement, concession, avoiding and dominating more frequency. Considering again the personal characteristics, it is determined that there is a statistically meaningful difference in the variance of occupational seniority, and that there is not statistically meaningful difference in the variance of age, staff condition and sex.Key Words: Conflict, Conflict Managament, School Manager, Physical Education Teacher
