Abstract (EN)
Building behavior under earthquake is a rather complicated problem. In the case of the reinforced concrete building that is solved especially in this complex problem, many unknowns are added about the behavior of the concrete that does not fit in a certain form. Due to the earthquake-resistant building design and the growing knowledge of the regulations and the desire to write more, it contains calculation steps and some details that are difficult to follow in details. It is a fact that with the earthquake-resistant building design, there are some details that are difficult to follow in the calculation steps and details with the developing knowledge of the regulations. "A more practical solution proposal for reinforced concrete buildings, which is designed quite simply and constitutes an important part of the building stock", found in the Turkey Building Earthquake Regulation 2018. In this study this question on Turkey Earthquake Building Regulations issued under Section 17 of the 2018 title simplifying rules have been examined. For this purpose, 144 sample reinforced concrete building models are designed according to different parameters such as three different simplified formulas, earthquake design class, building height, number of floor plan openings, and ground class. The level of structural performance of these designed buildings was determined by Linear and Nonlinear Analysis Method. At the end of the study, it was observed that the performance of the structure was not sufficient compared to the linear method, but remained at a sufficient level compared to the nonlinear method. The data obtained regarding the models designed with different parameters and the predicted values for the buildings consisting of carrier system type reinforced concrete frames in TBEC-2018 were examined in detail in the study.
