Abstract (EN)
Development differiencies in physical and perceptional levels of middle school students swimming regularly is aimed. The determination ofthe effects of swimming regularly on some physical and cognitional parameters fort he children between the age of 12-13 is aimed with this study. Totally there are 60 people in this study, half is the experiement group consisting of licenced swimmers in the category stars from middle schools of Şanlıurfa national education direktorship, the other half is the control group consisting of people not swimming or doing any sports regularly. The people have been selected randomly and the average of age in the groups is 12,46-+(0,5). At the experiement group, people made swimming exercise regularly as three times a week, two hours a day totally 12 weeks. Exercise have been taken place in indoor swimming pool which belongs to Şanlıurfa Munsapolity. Each trainning day consist of tree parts as general heating phase, private heating phase, and style swimming training. The participents parameters of height, Body Weight (BW), Body Mass İndex (BMİ), Body Fat Perantage (BAP), Vertical Splash (VS), Flexibilitiy, Perception Level (PL), has been meansured as pre-test and past test by the same person at the same day and same time. SPSS-22 pocket program has been used for avaluating the measurements of new data. As İndependent Sumple T-test has ben used for comparing the average measurement of pretest an past test. Statistical significance level has been taken as P <0,05 and P<0,001. At the and of the study, some significant differences has been detected on the measurement of pretest and past test average of BH, BMİ, Flexibilitiy, VS, PL (p<0,05-p<0,001). There has been no differences between the meansurements average of BW and BF percentage (p>0,05). As a result, it can be stated regular swimming exercises have positive effects on some phy and cognitive parameters. Especially making children who are in age of growth supports the their physical and mental development. Key Words: Swimming, Physical, Motorilca, Peraption Level, Middle School
